After sharing the stage with artists such as Bunji Garlin and Assylum Band, Faye Ann Lyons, Lil Rick, Kerwin Dubois, just to name a few, also performing at Toronto Caribana’s Fire Fete as well as Germany & Sweden Carnival, being awarded the Soca Music Awards (SMA) best UK soca artist and producing the best UK soca track, what’s left for a UK based soca artist to do?
Well having a massive year so far, Scrappy is continuing to exceed borders by getting more in depth in the music arena. The soca artist has now completed his first Montserrat carnival compilation album under his production company Johnson Music productions featuring a league of artists ranging from Montserrat, Trinidad and the UK. The album has a mixture of gospel, soca and reggae music and is the 1st of an annual project aimed at getting the best of Montserrat’s carnival music exposed to the world. The album titled “Welcome To Montserrat Vol 1 & 2” consists of a mixture of reggae and soca music all released for the Montserrat carnival season. The album boasts of songs from some of Montserrat’s best soca artists including the legendary road march master himself, Drago with his new release for the season. Scrappy is also releasing his new long awaited album “The Caribbean Dream”.
